The Children’s Ministry strives to teach children the basics of the Christian faith and ultimately lead them to the point that they can answer God’s call to follow Him to accept His free gift of salvation. We teach children that God loves them; how they should love and serve God; and how they should love others.
FIRST TIME VISITORS
We want you to know that your child will be kept safe while at FBCO. When you check in your child on a Sunday morning, both the parent and the child receive a sticker with a security number. Parents should hand their child's sticker over at pickup and we match security numbers with their kids.

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES
Sunday School / Connection Groups
Sundays 9:45 & 11:00 am
Children grades K-6 meet in our Harbor Kids area for Worship, Small Group and/or Large Group every Sunday. During this time, they learn Bible basics, Bible stories, and Scriptures through a variety of methods. We worship together, hear the Word taught, play games, and participate in creative activities.
AWANA
Wednesdays 6-7:30 pm (Breaks for the Summer)
AWANA is an international ministry that helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community. Tailored curriculum for each age group takes kids on an exciting journey through the Bible. Weekly Scripture memorization and Bible studies allow children to see how the Bible applies to everyday life. AWANA meets every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Children check-in when they enter the church and should be brought the the Journeyland (Preschool) or HarborKids (K-6) doors for drop off.

KIDZ CAMP
Summer
Every year we go to Kidz Camp at East Texas Baptist Encampment in Newton, TX. This is a one-night camp for kids that have completed K-3rd.

Summer
Every year we go to CentriKid Camp @ Trinity Pines in Trinity, TX. This is a four-night camp for kids that have completed 3rd-6th.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Easter
Every year all of the children in our community are invited to take part in an Easter Egg hunt on our church grounds. There are thousands of candy-filled eggs, special prize eggs, snacks, and inflatables. A special gospel presentation is presented each year in a variety of ways.
Vacation Bible School | Grow Camp
Summer
During the summer we offer a special camp for children K-6th Grade. GROW Camp is a Fine Arts Camp designed to improve and strengthen children’s creative abilities in a variety of disciplines. During this week Biblical principals are taught thru a variety of activities such as art, vocal music, guitar, woodworking, culinary, etc. The children experience a fun week of learning Bible stories and lessons through exciting activities. At the end of the week parents are invited to a special program where kids can show parents all they have learned during the week.
The Clubhouse is now open to the public Monday and Wednesday
